MGM Resorts International Partners With Tribal Nations For Sports Betting

MGM Resorts International will enlarge its portfolio, by welcoming a new partner. The company possessed an investment banking company – TFA Capital Partners. The partnership aims to help find options for sports betting cooperations with Tribal Nations.

MGM Resorts International Extends Its Sports Betting Portfolio

MGM Resorts interactive gaming president Scott Butera greeted the TFA as part of the company, in the times when sports betting industry is rapidly developing in the United States.

According to Butera, sports betting is an outstanding chance for MGM Resorts International to join forces with Tribal Nations and work together with TFA to conquer new sports betting markets. The cooperation brings benefits for both sides, as partners of Tribal Nation will have more demand to their casinos after this deal.

MGM Resorts International’s Future Sports Betting Plan

The MGM-GVC joint venture wants to deliver custom sports betting products to tribes, with the help of TFA, who already have established connections in the Indian Country. Тhe so-called “turn-key customizable omnichannel sports betting solutions” include the following products and services

  • Mobile sports betting products
  • Operating and marketing consultations
  • Self-service kiosk
  • Premier odds setting
  • MGM Resorts International brand and database leverage

TFA spokespersons weren’t found at the time to answer further questions on the partnership.

There is no doubt that MGM’s brand will develop further in the near future. The gaming operator has closed deals with NBA, MLB, and NHL. The duration of the NBA’s partnership is three years and is worth $25 million.

Since October this year, MGM Resorts International also became the official gaming partner of the New York Jets. MGM International will also be a part of SWIMA – the newest Sports Wagering Integrity Monitoring Association.

Together with Jan Jones, senior vice president of MGM, Stephen Martino will be part of the Trustees Board at SWIMA. Jones is the corporate responsibility and public policy executive vice president of Caesars Entertainment.

The nonprofit organization will work together with tribal gaming regulators, to stop forbidden sports betting actions such as match-fixing.

After the Supreme Court regulated sports wagering, 7 states started providing sports betting. Take a look at the list:
